Visiting Los Angeles again
Nicole and I are having a lil’ getaway to LA this spring 2022. Well- Nicole is working remote most of the week so it’s pretty much me doing most of the vacationing.
We got a nice Airbnb in Marina Del Ray and it’s going to be in the 70s this week. (It was a real feel of 0℉ in New York the other day.)
note to future self: floow ceiling window- need that.
The weather's decent, but not warm enough for jumping into the beach. When Nicole and I visited a few summers ago, we took a surfing class. Because I recorded most of the fun I don't have footage of my slips fortunately, but here's Nicole:
This weekend we’re meeting up with our friend Man and going to Universal Studios Hollywood. Nicole is excited to see Harry Potter world there. I don’t care for it, but why not- wingardium leviosa!
Also, California is lifting its mask mandate this Wednesday. From sfgate.com:
California's mask mandate officially lifts Wednesday, and all counties in the San Francisco Bay Area, except Santa Clara, plan to drop indoor face-covering requirements for vaccinated people. Yes, that means if you go to the movies or eat out at a restaurant, you no longer need to sport a mask in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Solano or Sonoma counties. Just south of the Bay Area, Monterey and Santa Cruz counties are also aligning with the state.
Obvious take: I can’t wait for Omicron and this pandemic to blow over and we treat coronavirus like a preventative flu shot. Currently, about 70% of CA is fully vaccinated.
Nicole is still working long hours remotely. Though, I have no problem with waffling around in the meantime. In this climate, I'm just thankful for a scene change and warmer weather. Gimme chips and couch, I'm good.
